The clock is ticking. College recruiters are watching, others are passing you by, and every month without real progress feels like a missed opportunity. You don't need another generic program - you need a personalized roadmap that identifies exactly what's holding you back and gives you a clear path to break through before it's too late.
I'm John Oltman, a former D1 pitcher who's had the privilege of guiding hundreds of pitchers over the past 9 years — from youth players to professionals. But here's what I've learned: my job isn't to be the hero of your story. You are. My job is to be your trusted guide and communicator as we develop your unique path forward.
I genuinely care about every athlete I work with, and I believe that if you're willing to commit to the process over time, you will absolutely see results. I'm continuously learning and evolving my approach because you deserve a coach who's always growing alongside you.
I'm a teacher at heart. I love to learn, and I'm passionate about the learning process for both myself and the players I work with. With my background in mathematics, I approach pitching development the same way I approach problem-solving: with structure, consistency, clarity, and systematic thinking. I love breaking down complex movements into understandable pieces and creating clear pathways to improvement.
This isn't about me having all the answers — it's about us working together to develop and refine a plan that fits your specific needs, goals, and timeline. You do the work, you get the credit. I'm just here to make sure you're never walking the path alone.
I've helped pitchers add 10+ mph, overcome horrible seasons, and earn college scholarships. But what I'm most proud of is watching players develop not just as pitchers, but as learners who understand their own development process.
I built the HEAT Training System to be the program I wish I had — one that doesn't separate mechanics from mindset. My systematic approach means clear frameworks, structured feedback, and honest diagnostics. But systems alone aren't enough. What separates elite pitchers isn't just how they move — it's how they think under pressure, how they define themselves when things go sideways, and how they respond to failure when it matters most.
That's why my analysis blends precision mechanical work with real mental development. I don't coach pitchers to be perfect — I coach them to be grounded, aware, and adaptable. I believe pitching is a mirror: it reflects how you think, how you prepare, and who you believe you are. When a pitcher starts to understand that, their performance shifts — not just in games, but in life.
This isn't about quick fixes or viral drills. It's about building something inside a pitcher that lasts beyond baseball. That's the mission.

I have worked with John on and off since I was in high school. We worked on every aspect of pitching: velocity, arm care, mobility, mental game, you name it. He helped me transform from a kid who was just trying to play a little in college to having some success while doing it. Every time we worked together I felt like I got better. Even now I still reach out if I have questions on pitching.
